Where's the wally?

A former colleague pointed out this story in which the Sydney-based Sunday Telegraph redraws the map of Queensland:

FYI: Caloundra is in the south-east of this great big state, just 78km north of Brisbane. In fact, Caloundra is closer to Melbourne than it is to Cooktown in far north Queensland, so a more accurate wrong-headed description would be "in southern Australia".


Not so sure crazy southerners are to blame. Copy was from AAP.
OK, so we'll blame crazy subeditors everywhere. But if the copy - and the error - originated in Queensland, that's pretty bad.
