Goodbye, hello

Goodbye, hello

My spies on Mt Coot-tha tell me Channel Nine staff last night had a farewell party for a popular newsroom staff member who had accepted a job at another network. The party went ahead despite the fact that the staffer was enticed to stay at Nine.

I'd say it's someone who is

I'd say it's someone who is from the ex-Extra section of the newsroom.

Seven needs someone, to weave that kind of magic, Brett, as SS Deal or No Deal is sinking after hitting the iceberg that is the Brisbane public. I honestly think Seven should take the time, and finally give Brisbane viewers what they want, a local product for 5:30, using their news leadership as a backing point.

And the 50th special should be the spark for it.

Well ...

1) ... and you' be right.
2) As much as I'd like to see it happen, I don't think it will. There is a good chance, though, that Seven (and other stations) will do something locally online. It's all about the costs.
