Text we forget

Who says text-messaging is anti-social? I was at a working breakfast the other morning when one of my companions saw somebody at another table but couldn't remember his name. She said Hi, then quickly sent an SMS a mutual friend. By the time we'd finished eating, she was able to go over to his table and address him by name. How civilised.
